Sheet Piles

Sheet Piles

Steel sheet piles are plate-shaped steel components with special locking grooves. A single pile can be interlocked and spliced through the locking grooves to form a continuous and sealed retaining and water-blocking wall. They are divided into two types: hot-rolled and cold-formed. They have both temporary support and permanent structure functions and are widely used in scenarios such as anti-seepage, cofferdam construction, and foundation pit support in marine and coastal engineering.

Application scenario

1. Temporary cofferdams and foundation support during the construction of offshore wind power and marine oil and gas projects to isolate seawater from the soil;

2. Permanent retaining and waterproofing structures for water engineering structures such as coastal piers, breakwaters, and breakwaters;

3. Water-blocking walls for river regulation, flood control embankments, and coastal reclamation projects;

4. Deep foundation pit support for coastal underground projects such as urban underground pipe galleries, subways, and underground garages;

5. Sidewall protection works for construction trenches of offshore pipelines and temporary construction access roads.

Main structure

The main body is made of standard cross-section steel plates such as U-shaped, Z-shaped, and straight-web type. The two sides are integrally formed with interlocking lock openings to ensure the sealing performance and overall stability of the wall after assembly. The materials mostly use structural steels such as Q235B and Q345B. For marine corrosion environments, corrosion-resistant steel or high-strength alloy steel is selected. Each single sheet pile is equipped with a lifting position. It can be assembled into straight, arc-shaped, or closed-loop wall forms according to engineering requirements. The surface can be treated with anti-corrosion coatings or passivation processes to extend the service life in marine environments.
